Burning In The Sun [Vinyl LP]

First pressing, 12" vinyl. Very limited number remaining in existence.

Burning In The Sun, is the 2005 Island Records debut from Blue Merle, the forward thinking, acoustic driven band founded in Nashville, TN by Luke Reynolds and Jason Oettel in 2002. The two met and bonded over their shared admiration of acoustic virtuosos Tony Rice, Edgar Meyer, Stuart Duncan, and Tim O'Brien. Releasing one LP and two EP's (The Fires EP and Live At Bull Moose) on Island Records, the band performed at Farm Aid, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, and supported JJ Cale, Van Morrison and My Morning Jacket, before parting ways in 2006.

Produced by Stephen Harris (U2, Ben Kweller). Recorded at Crystalphonic Studios Charlottesville, VA and Abbey Road Studio Two, London.
